Multi-Tax Support Now Available in Aroopa Invoices
Feature

We are excited to introduce multi-tax support in Aroopa Invoices! You can now configure multiple tax rates in the settings and apply the appropriate tax to your invoices as needed. This update makes it easier to manage various tax scenarios, whether you have different tax rates based on product type, location, or any other factors.

With this new feature, you can set up different tax rates — for example, sales tax, VAT, or service tax — and apply them while creating both standard invoices and recurring invoices. This ensures accurate tax calculations across all types of billing, helping you stay compliant with tax regulations and simplify your accounting.

This feature is supported across both regular invoice templates and recurring invoice templates, giving you flexibility for one-time and subscription-based billing.

Key Features:

  • Multiple Tax Setup: Configure multiple tax rates in the settings, including VAT, sales tax, and custom taxes.
  • Tax Application on Invoices: Apply the relevant taxes to invoices as you create them, with automatic calculation based on your configuration.
  • Recurring Invoice Support: The tax settings also apply to recurring invoices, ensuring consistency for ongoing billing cycles.
  • Flexible Tax Management: Easily manage and adjust tax rates from a centralized settings area, with no need to manually update them for every invoice.
  • Compliance: Stay compliant with local tax laws and regulations by applying the correct taxes to each transaction.

Example Use Cases:

  1. Retail Sales Tax:
If you’re a retailer, you can set up the sales tax rate for your region and apply it automatically to all invoices for physical products. Whether you're billing for a one-time purchase or a subscription, the correct sales tax will be applied based on the tax rate you've configured.
  2. VAT for International Sales:
If you’re conducting business in multiple countries, you can set up different VAT rates based on the country of the customer. For example, customers in the EU might have a different VAT rate than those in the US. You can apply these rates to invoices accordingly, helping to ensure tax compliance across regions.
  3. Service-Based Taxes:
Service providers can set up service tax rates for specific types of services (e.g., consulting, design work) and apply them automatically when creating invoices. This saves time and ensures the correct tax rate is always used, whether you’re billing a one-time project or a recurring service.
  4. Subscription-based Taxing:
If you offer subscription services (e.g., monthly or yearly plans), you can apply taxes automatically to the recurring invoices. For example, a subscription to an online service can have a digital services tax applied each month without manual intervention.
  5. Custom Tax Scenarios:
You may have specific custom tax rates depending on your business model (e.g., discounted tax rates for certain product categories, or exemption statuses for non-profits). You can set these up and apply them to relevant invoices and recurring payments.

With multi-tax support in Aroopa Invoices, you can now manage taxes more efficiently, apply them correctly to each invoice, and streamline your billing process. Whether you're dealing with multiple regions, products, or services, this feature ensures you can handle all your tax scenarios directly from Aroopa, making your invoicing process both more accurate and compliant.
