vCard Support Added to Email and SMS Nodes for Dynamic Workflows
Improvement

This update adds vCard support to both Email Nodes and SMS Nodes, giving you the ability to send electronic contact cards directly via email and SMS messages. Now, you can configure both nodes to set the message type as vCard, which will automatically format the message and include contact information in the vCard standard.

Key Features:

  1. vCard Message Type:
  2. Both the Email Node and SMS Node now allow you to set the message type as vCard. This ensures that when a contact is added to a workflow, the message sent through these nodes will be properly formatted as a vCard file (VCF), making it easy for recipients to save the contact information to their devices.
  3. Dynamic vCard Field Mapping:
  4. You can now map vCard fields (such as name, email, phone number, address, and more) against the data from your payload. This feature allows for highly personalized vCards to be generated dynamically based on user data in workflows, ensuring that the right contact information is included in each vCard.
  5. Integration with User Profile:
  6. The vCard feature is integrated with the User Profile, allowing you to create workflows that are tailored to the specific contact or user who triggered the workflow. This integration means that you can create workflows that automatically send a user’s own vCard to a new contact or a specific recipient based on user actions.
  7. Example Use Case:
  8. Scenario: You want to create a workflow that, when a user creates a new contact, sends that new user’s vCard to the contact that was added. This can be accomplished by configuring the workflow to send an email or SMS with the user’s vCard attached. The vCard will contain the newly created user’s contact details (name, phone number, email, etc.), and the recipient will be able to easily add the new user as a contact in their own address book.
  9. Seamless Workflow Creation:
  10. With this feature, creating a dynamic, data-driven workflow that involves sharing contact information becomes easier. For example, in a customer onboarding process, the workflow can send the customer’s vCard to a team member or a partner, ensuring that everyone has the most up-to-date contact information.

Use Case Examples:

  1. Onboarding Workflow:
  2. Scenario: When a new customer completes an onboarding form, a workflow is triggered to send their vCard to a designated sales or support team member. This ensures that the team has the new customer’s contact information stored and ready for follow-up.
  3. Benefit: The sales or support representative can easily save the new customer’s contact information to their mobile device or CRM system, speeding up communication and follow-up processes.
  4. Referral Program:
  5. Scenario: A user refers a friend to your service. Once the friend is added as a contact in your system, a workflow triggers an SMS or email containing the referring user’s vCard, making it easy for the referred contact to save the referrer’s information and connect with them directly.
  6. Benefit: This enhances the referral process by making it simple for users to share their contact information and strengthens the referral connection with automated, personalized communication.
  7. Team Collaboration:
  8. Scenario: When a new team member is added to a project, the workflow can send that team member’s vCard to other team members, helping everyone to quickly add the new contact to their phones or systems.
  9. Benefit: This saves time and avoids mistakes in manual data entry, ensuring that team members have up-to-date contact information for seamless collaboration.

Impact:

  1. Personalized Communication: The vCard feature allows for automated and personalized sharing of contact details, helping to streamline workflows and improve communication.
  2. Efficiency: By automating the distribution of vCards, this feature reduces the need for manual contact sharing and ensures that contact information is shared accurately.
  3. Enhanced Workflow Flexibility: With the ability to map vCard fields to dynamic user data, workflows can be customized based on user actions, enhancing the overall flexibility and power of your automation.

This integration provides an easy and efficient way to share contact information through email and SMS, enhancing your workflows and allowing for more dynamic and personalized communication.
